Eligibility
Residents of Dubuque County who are 18 years or older may register for a library card at the Matthew Jacoby Library.
- Your library card entitles you to borrow up to 10 items (books or DVDs) at a
time. You may renew your items 1 time for an additional 30 days. - Community
members are able to use additional resources onsite including
electronic resources (academic databases and movie streaming) and Print
Periodicals (Newspapers, Magazines, and Journals).
- To register for a library card account, go to https://opac.dwci.edu/. On the right-hand side of the page, click “Register Here.” You will need to come to the library in person to verify your age and proof of address.
Self-Registration Instructions
- Go to https://opac.dwci.edu/
- Click “Register Here” (It is on the right-hand side of the page below the login section).
- Fill out the form.
- Click “Submit.”
- Check the email that you used to register.
- Open the email entitled “Verify Your Account” and click the link in the email to verify your account.
You now have a username and password. After you login to your account, you can change your password.
Picking up your library card
Let us know when you will be coming to library in person. We can have a card ready for you. If we don’t already have a photo on file, we will request that you send one. Email the library ([email protected]) to schedule your library card pickup. If you are Board of Trustees member and would like to pickup up your card at the next meeting, please let the library know. It will be provided to you with your regular identification card upon arrival.
