About the Library

The Dubuque County Library District (DCLD) is a public library system serving
the residents of Dubuque County, Iowa. It consists of multiple branches
located throughout the county, providing a variety of resources and services to the community, including books, e-books, audiobooks, DVDs, computer and internet access, educational programs, and more. The library district aims to promote literacy, lifelong learning, and access to information for all residents of Dubuque County. 


DCLD has branches in Asbury, Epworth, Farley, Holy Cross, and Peosta.


Through a wide array of events and programming, the library provides unique experiences and gives our patrons opportunities to connect with others. Events are geared toward a variety of age groups, ranging from young children to teens and adults.

Getting a library card at DCLD

All undergraduate and IELI students have full access to the Dubuque County Library District (DCLD) without having to sign up for a card.
