Donations

The Library accepts donations. Donated items are added to the collection at the discretion of Library faculty in accordance with the Collection Management Policy. Items that do not meet the standards for selection will be offered to the DWC community and then disposed of. As a general rule, donated items will be added to the collection based on the same criteria as purchased material. The library reserves the right to determine the retention, location, cataloging treatment, and other considerations related to the use or disposition of all donations The Library assumes no responsibility for appraisal of donations, nor can the library accept items under restricted conditions.

The following item types are accepted:

• Books
• Academic Journals
• DVDs

While the Library greatly appreciates donated materials, items in the following conditions will not be accepted:

• missing or torn pages
• liquid damage
• writing, underlining, or highlighting
• paper clips, sticky notes, or any other fasteners/adhesives
